About the Acupuncturist
I am a licensed Acupuncturist by the State of North Carolina’s Acupuncture Licensing Board. I am also Board Certified in Oriental Medicine, Diplomate Status, by the National Certification Commission on Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
I graduated from The New England School of Acupuncture (www.nesa.edu) in Watertown, Massachusetts with a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM). While at NESA I became certified in Auriculotherapy (Ear Acupuncture).
I am experienced in treating many different conditions such as: menstrual irregularities, infertility, musculoskeletal conditions, depression, headaches, menopausal symptoms, and paralysis post-stroke (to name a few). I also have worked in a hospital and drug rehabilitation facilities where I treated drug/alcohol withdrawal and side effects from Hepatitis and HIV medications.
Prior to attending The New England School of Acupuncture, I attended Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts where I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. I previously worked for several years as a Chiropractic Assistant.
I am a member of The North Carolina Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
