Jill Doan is a Licensed Acupuncturist by the State of North Carolina’s Acupuncture Licensing Board. She is also Board Certified in Oriental Medicine, Diplomate Status, by the National Certification Commission on Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Jill graduated from The New England School of Acupuncture in Watertown, Massachusetts with a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM). The New England School of Acupuncture was the first acupuncture school in the United States and remains one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the field. While at NESA, she became certified in Auriculotherapy (Ear Acupuncture).
Jill is experienced in treating many different conditions such as: menstrual irregularities, infertility, musculoskeletal conditions, anxiety/depression, headaches, menopausal symptoms, and digestive disorders (to name a few). She has also have worked in hospital and drug rehabilitation facilities where she treated drug/alcohol withdrawal and side effects from Hepatitis and HIV medications.
Jill has continued her education to include additional training in allergy elimination, treatment for musculoskeletal pain conditions, and fertility.
Prior to attending The New England School of Acupuncture, Jill attended Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She has previously worked for several years as a Chiropractic Assistant.
Jill has served on both the board and council of the North Carolina Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCAAOM). She has been both the Treasurer and Membership Officer for the State of North Carolina.
