To The Point Acupuncture opened back up on 5/1! We have spoken to many of our patients since our temporary office closure on March 23rd. Most of you have been doing well, but there are patients who would significantly benefit from having acupuncture treatments at this time.
Though we did take a little hiatus, Acupuncturists are considered essential healthcare providers in the state of NC. We are able to provide treatment options for patients such as pain relief, treatment for anxiety and depression, immune system support, etc. keeping patients out of otherwise busy medical facilities such as Emergency rooms and Urgent care. Now more than ever it is important that our body is healthy and strong enough to handle all the stressors that are being thrown at it.
SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT:
Our online calendar will not be available for scheduling during the month of May; if you wish to be seen, you will need to contact the office in order to make an appointment. This allows us to space patients out accordingly and gives us a sufficient amount of time to perform all necessary sanitizing protocols.
THE APPOINTMENT PROCESS:
- We will be contacting all patients via phone or email within 24 hours of their appointment time to screen them for symptoms of potential illness. **PLEASE READ YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL. ** If we do not feel that it is safe for a patient to come in to the office, their appointment will be canceled.
- We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
- All patients will be required to wear a face mask (homemade masks, scarfs, and bandannas are acceptable).
- Patients will call the front desk when they arrive in the parking lot so a staff member can take them directly to a treatment room.
- Friends or family members who accompany patients to their appointment will not be permitted to stay in the waiting area and must remain in the car.
- Patient’s temperatures will be taken before beginning treatment. If their temperature is normal, they will be treated.
- We will no longer be using mylar space blankets for warmth during treatment, only heat lamps. If you are a patient who tends to get cold please wear additional loose fitted clothing so we can keep you as comfortable as possible during your session.
Many small businesses around the globe have also made the decision to close their doors for an extended period. If you would like to help your favorite small businesses (and acupuncturists!) during this difficult time, gift certificates are a great way to offer support–you can use them for future treatments when we re-open.
You can purchase a gift certificate via this link. Gift certificates will immediately be emailed to you or whomever you wish.
Take good care of yourselves, your family, and your friends. We hope to see you in the office again soon!
